En 7 días comienza la aventura Charlotte - Daytona: ¡Se aceptan tips!
Comunicado de Prensa. Waaa. OK. Para los que no saben. Hay noticias. En exactamente una semana estaré volando a Charlotte, Carolina del Norte para una semana full NASCAR en la “Queen City”. Nunca he viajado a Estados Unidos y aunque estoy muy culturizado de lo que es Charlotte, como moverse y donde ir (y ya está todo planeado) de todas formas será entretenido vivir las nuevas experiencias. Por lo mismo, estaré reportandome a través de acá, de mi Twitter, Facebook y de su sitio amigo, Racing5.
Para los que no saben que Charlotte o donde está, pueden revisar la uber-confiable Wikipedia.
En Charlotte visitaré las diferentes shops de los equipos y algunos museos de la historia de NASCAR. Si todo sale bien, también visitaré el Charlotte Motor Speedway, el estadio de los Charlotte Panthers y un par de partidos de NHL y NBA. Una vez que transcurra una semana, tomaré mi vuelo a Daytona para las Speedweeks en el Daytona International Speeway que comienzan el sábado 18 de Febrero con el Budweiser Shootout y terminan con la carrera más importante del año, las 500 Millas de Daytona el domingo 28 de Febrero. Acá, en mi Facebook, Tuister y en Racing5 colgaré las fotos y anécdotas de cada día, además de otro contenido propio de estas semanas de carreras. Capaz que alcanzo a ir a ver al Ratón Mickey a Orlando y luego me devuelvo a Chile.
Eso. Se aceptan sugerencias y recomendaciones (si alguien tiene) de que hacer, que comer, donde o que no hacer y si alguien tiene peticiones de cosas NASCAR (no chiches electrónicos) o fotos de algún piloto/equipo/leyenda/auto en especial también pueden hacerlo por acá. Para eso hay una sección de comentarios más abajo y están todas las redes antes mencionadas.

In 7 days, a new adventure: Charlotte/Daytona, suggestions (and beers) accepted!
Well, on this exact time the next week I’ll be leaving Chile for a three-week trip around the world of NASCAR. Yeah, very cool. Never been to the United States before. My first destination will be Charlotte, where I will be visiting some teams shops, NASCAR Hall and other area museums and hopefully a couple of sports matchs in Time Cable Arena. I will be staying in Concord, near Charlotte Motor Speedway, cool even if there are not races there at this point of the year.
On Friday February 17, I leave Charlotte and travel to Daytona, obviously to be there for Speedweeks 2012, starting with the Budweiser Shootout and finishing with the Daytona 500 on February 26. I might visit Orlando a couple days before I leave the States on February 28. Fun, huh?
Well, as I have never been in the States this will be very interesting, even more than just considering the racing stuff. A trip like this might be trivial for NASCAR media and crews, but I have never done it so it will be cool. I will be tweeting it out, hopefully uploading some pictures and stuff here, on Racing5 (Spanish though) and on my Facebook profile.
That’s all. Suggestions, tips and invitations to have a couple beers are appreciated and welcome! I have a very well planned schedule but if you think there are things that I must do, that I shouldn’t do, or you have some advice on where or what to eat, please share it!
